Here it is, Tristian's Mayhem Valentines

So I finished the Valentine's I wanted to make for Tristian. They turned out really good and I like them a lot! And what's best is that he loves them as well!! His favorite is the mustache of course...Those silly mustache's are so popular right now. I might have ti make another set but for Cordi so that way I can have a set of girl Valentine's as well.

So here is the template to the valentine's that are just a little smaller than the basic Valentine's you get from the store, and here is the tag size template.

And here is the individual Valentine pics so that way you can use whichever pics you want. Just right click on the picture you want and click "save as".

Thanks for stopping by and feel free to come back and check out what else I come up with. :)

Robot Valentine's!!

Excuse me while I jump for JOY!!! I figured it out!!! I figured it out!!! I just made my own, so very cool Valentine's for my kiddo's!!! Not sure who will get these, I can see both Dorian and Tristian loving them.... Maybe I will make another set for them to choose who get's what.... I think I will make more with monsters!! Tristian will love that!

Now if you are curious where I made them at you can make them at Picnik. :) But if you like mine you are more than welcome to save yourself some time and effort and use these. I have made two templates for you today. One with bigger, more traditional sized Valentines (still a little smaller though) and one with tags, much like what is pictured at the top. I think I will be using the tags, just seems better since they are smaller and  will use less ink, and tags are always cute. :) Also for your convince I have copies of the individual pics at the bottom so that you can use which ever card is your favorite. Just right click the images and choose to "save image as". Enjoy and be sure to come back for those monster Valentine's. I am definitely not done playing and will be making them as well. LOL.

For more help making your own, you can check out the blog that helped me figure it out, The Mother Huddle.

Cucumber Salad with a Twist

So recently in my adventures with Pinterest I ran into a recipe called Fire and Ice Salad that looked a lot like the Cucumber salad that I grew up loving at all my family reunions, but this one was different... It had sugar! I just had to try it! So the end verdict... I loved it! The one I grew up with had no sugar and sometimes the vinegar was just too much to handle, but I loved it so much I would still eat it. So I found that by putting the sugar in it, it actually took a little bit of the edge off the vinegar. While eating some though I got a thought, I should put some Apple Cider vinegar in it as well. So I turned to my husband and told him, and he took it another step forward. "You could put apples in it". At first I thought, no, but then I thought I'm going to do it. So I set some of the original aside in another container and added some apples and the apple cider vinegar and let it set for a couple of hours. My little family each tried a bite and LOVED it!! So now I just knew I had to take some to my big family (my dad, sisters, brother and their little families, we get together pretty much every weekend). Just as I expected they all loved it and had to have the recipe. So now with the success there I thought I would share this amazing salad with you.

Cucumber Salad with a Twist

2 Cucumbers
2 Tomatoes
1 Apple
1 Small Red Onion (More or less to your taste)
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Water
½ Cup White Vinegar
½ Cup Apple Cider Vinegar

Cut all veggies and fruit into small pieces and place them into your salad bowl. Now in another bowl mix the sugar, water, and vinegars and pour them over the salad. Let sit in the refrigerator to chill for at least 3 hours. But the longer you let it sit the more the flavor seeps in.

Original Fire and Ice Salad recipe can be found here...

Little Girl's Ear Warmer

So I have been making my own crochet patterns and I just could not figure out what I wanted to do with them. I made them in hopes of being able to sale them, but then there is a big part of me that just wants to put my patterns on my blog. So I decided to give them away! I figure if you know how to crochet you might also be like me and try to figure things out yourself than buy the pattern. I hate buying patterns. I like to try and figure it out myself to save money. Although there are a few patterns I have tried to figure out and just can't so I might have to buy those. :)
So anyways here is my first pattern I do hope that you enjoy it and if you make it, please send me a pic of your end result so that I may be able to see it. Also if you love the pattern but don't know how to crochet feel free to ask me to make it for you. I sale the Ear Warmers for $15.

If you have problems with the pattern please let me know. It is my first to post and I am really hoping I did it right. :)

Click here to get the pattern. :)

You ca also check out my pattern on Ravelry as well.

Trista's Spicey Speghetti

So I have been playing with this blog for a year now and didn't really know what I wanted to do with it. So far it's mainly just a journal of sorts and also a place to post my crafts and such that I make. Well I decided I like the blogs with tutorials so I think I might throw in some of those and recipes of some of my favorite things to cook. I thought my Spaghetti would be a good starter. I have always wanted my spaghetti to stand out, I guess maybe because my Dad is known in the family as the goulash master, but I really think it might be because while growing up I had a best friend, Kacie who every time she stayed over she had to have my Moms spaghetti. I wish I knew now what mom was doing to make it so wonderful, but alas I never really asked and now regrettably I can not. But anyways, I loved that Kacie thought my moms spaghetti was so awesome that I guess now that I am older I am secretly hoping that my kiddos will have friends that say the same things to them about something I cook.

This spaghetti is spicey, but not so spicy that kids can't eat it so I hope that you and your family can enjoy it!

Spicey Spaghetti Recipe

( I actually make this a little different each time so there is definitely room for you to be creative with this)Spaghetti Sauce of your choosing ( I used Bertolli with this batch)
1 can of Rotel
1 lb of Lean Hamburger meat or Turkey meat ( usually use Turkey, but my store didn't have it on this trip)
Spaghetti Noodles

Optional ( I use these things when I have them)

Tone's Spicy Spaghetti Seasoning
Sliced Olives
Chopped Onion
Sliced mushrooms
Seasoning Salt
Garlic Salt

Start your water and cook your spaghetti noodles as the package says to. Now while that is cooking throw your Hamburger meat and chopped onion in a skillet to cook. Season now with your Seasoning salt and the Spicy Spaghetti seasoning. Seriously do not worry about if you have the Spicy Spaghetti seasoning I never used this until I made this, this one time. I usually just season the meat with just the Seasoning Salt and Garlic Salt and this is fine with me.

When that is completely cooked through you can throw in the spaghetti sauce, olives, mushrooms, and Rotel. Let that warm up and simmer for a little while on low. By now your noodles should be done. Such a simple and quick meal and by far one of my family favorites with my little family. Also just to make it a little spicier I recommend eating with Pepperoncini's. YUMMY.

Pony Hat

So as everyone who really knows me knows I just LOVE My Little Pony, so naturally Cordi needed a pony hat. I didn't really need to look for a pattern for the hat since I had it all worked out how I made make it in my head. I must say I did pretty good. I have the pattern wrote out, but still need to type it up. I think I will sale the pattern on Esty when I do get it typed up. But then again I am seriously thinking about just putting the patterns up on my blog instead of messing with selling it....
